ARPITA ROY

Arpita Roy is an Adventure cinematographer/filmmaker and photographer who is always exploring new stories and doing raw adventure. Arpita is one of the few people in the country who works as High-Altitude cinematographer professionally in Extreme weather conditions.  She has done her internship in Felis Creations and Green Hub. Her Documentary on Saving Tilaboni hill through Sports has been selected in Doc-Commune fellowship in PSBT. 
 She is now working in fiction and non-fictions and advertisements, and documenting high altitude mountaineering expeditions, several other independent, Research projects and events. Her job is to provide visuals for the directors, and she also Assist Directors, cinematographers as well. She possesses unique ability of climbing rock and technical and non-technical mountaineering expeditions along with her camera and gears. 

She has already reached the highest altitude 6400m to shoot. She has climbed and done expeditions several technical and non-technical mountains in Indian Himalayas (kangyatze 1 6400m(Summit), Kangyatze 2 6275m(Summit), Jogin 1 6456m(Summit), Jogin 3 6111m(Summit), Stock kangri 6001m(Summit), Deo Tibba 6001m,Yunam 6110m(Summit), Renok, BC Roy(Summit), Palung 2 (Summit)in Sikkim
She has done a lot of treks in the Indian Himalayas for her job.
She is ever ready to develop her skills of filmmaking even if it required climbing a mountain. Doing mountaineering expeditions and treks throughout the year is the part of her job. They enhance her understanding of the mountains and upgrade her creative skills. Going to the new places, reaching new heights, meeting new people, listening to their stories are her favorite part her job.
